is a very big part of Nightingale.” When someone calls the Nightingale
office, “they need someone who cares about their well-being.”
Cynthia is that person.

Cynthia feels it is imperative to her position that she creates
a “comfort zone” for clients. She does everything possible
to handle problems and resolve them as soon as possible.
She tells of a client who had a problem with her unit beeping continually.
Cynthia made arrangements to visit the client that very afternoon
to resolve the problem. Upon arrival, the client explained that
the unit was located in the bedroom down the hall. Cynthia walked
down the hallway, realizing that the beep didn’t sound like
the Nightingale ERS unit. She inspected the area and discovered
the source of the beep was the smoke alarm. The client, “a
small, frail lady”, replied, “Well, when you get my
age, a beep is a beep.” Cynthia tried to replace the batteries
for the client, but was unable to reach the alarm. The client was
thankful for her offer, saying, “God will bless you for your
kindness.” Cynthia knows that it is all part of her job. She
feels that it is rewarding to show people that you sincerely care
about them and their safety.
In her free time, Cynthia enjoys reading, music, and spending time
outdoors. She loves being with her family and has been blessed with
three grandchildren from her only son. |
